A must-have for cat or dog owners! If an emergency strikes, you'll be equipped to deliver first aid to your four-legged friend. Learn the basics of providing first aid care for your cat or dog based on common emergency situations. Created by the American Red Cross, this course is approximately 35 minutes in length.

In this course you will:

• Understand pet vital signs

• Identify breathing and cardiac emergencies

• Learn to respond to wounds, bleeding, seizures, and breathing emergencies

• Learn preventative care for cats and dogs

Ideal for individuals such as 

• First time pet owners

• Pet sitters

• Families with pets

This course does not meet OSHA requirements. It does not fulfill BLS requirements.

What to Expect

• Registration: After purchasing, you will need to input the information for the student(s) intended to take the class. You will do this either via your order confirmation screen or the registration email.

• Learning: Approximately 24 hours after inputting student information, the student will receive an email with a link to begin the class. Progress is saved as you go along. Be sure to reference the requirements below for optimal learning experience.

• Certificate: Once the student completes the learning and passes the class, a certificate of completion is issued. This will be emailed to the student approximately 4 hours after completion.
